This Story Is Nuts!

Back in 2005, Marquis Jet was soaring at a comfortable cruising altitude.

Things were going well and a call came in from Usher, one of our clients. He needed a jet to fly to Mexico with his girlfriend.

So, I suggested to my then-girlfriend, Harper, that we tag along. Why not? She agreed.

Harper and I settled into our seats next to each other while Usher and his girlfriend occupied the seats across from us.

It was like a square booth with a TV in the corner, and we decided to watch the movie Napoleon Dynamite.

Very shortly into it, they erupted into uncontrollable laughter. No, they laughed so hard that Usher literally couldn't stop.

It's not that funny. I don’t get it, I thought to myself.

And it kept happening. Do I not get the humor? Is something wrong with me?

I gave Harper a glance to see if she was thinking what I was thinking, and she gave me the same exact look. We couldn’t figure it out. It didn’t make sense.

No disrespect, but come on, the movie wasn’t that funny.

At one point, Usher laughed so hard he stopped breathing for like ten seconds, and tears streamed down his girlfriend’s face as she snort-laughed multiple times.

It started to make me uncomfortable, and I shifted in my seat. And as I did, they started laughing even harder. It was so strange.

When we got off the plane, I asked Usher, "You guys really like that movie?"

"Nah, man. You have a hole in your shorts, and your nuts kept popping out," he said, chuckling.
